[Fink-devel] nessus-1.2.6-1 version number question
Regarding the package nessus, the Fink Version seems to be 1.2.6-1 Yet on the Nessus site www.nessus.org, the current version is listed as 2.2.6 How does the Fink based app version number relate to the mother WebSite app version number? Did I not update something? I am more familiar with Darwinports and their Nessus version seems to be the same as the Nessus WebSite. I'm just confused/ Thanks Ron -- Package manager version: 0.24.10 Distribution version: 0.8.0.rsync Mac OS X version: 10.4.2 December 2001 Developer Tools gcc version: 8 make version: 3.80 Feedback Courtesy of FinkCommander --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the JBoss Inc. Hey, if you are already working on it, it yours. :-) If you need help, let me know. I would like to learn more about how to maintain software for Fink. I volunteered, because I needed to use Nessus and FINK is the fastest way on a MAC. The current Nessus is 1.2.6 and I wanted a newer version. The easiest way to get what you want is to do it and not to complain because someone else won't do it for you. If I can help, let me know. Thanks for working on updating Nessus. If you need a guinea pig, I'm here. Jeff Jeff Plum Sr. Systems Analyst MedData Research Inc.
