[Fink-devel] question about splitoffs
I'm working on the arts package for the kde3 stuff, and I have a small question about whether I'm doing this right for the splitoff. As I understand it, the 'arts' package is essentially the package that there can only be one of; it contains the headers and development-type stuff. I have a 'bin' package that contains things like artswrapper and such, but am I correct in believing that bin/mcopidl and bin/artsc-config should not be in the 'bin' package, but in the 'arts' package, since they are specific to the arts release and are for development only? -- Ben Reed a.k.a. Re: [Fink-devel] question about splitoffs
The thing to keep in mind is that the package which contains headers might get removed by users, and nothing else can depend on it. So any binary which will only be used at compile time by other packages is fine for the main package; anything which might be used at runtime by other packages (or directly by users) belongs in -bin. -- Dave ___ Fink-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-devel
