[Fink-users] icwm 1.2.2-3 install fails (requires gcc 3.1)

2006-07-18 Thread Doug Wade
I'm confused as to why I would have a successful install of icewm 1.2.2-2 and now upgrades to 1.2.2-3 fail with an attempt to install gcc3.1 (I have gcc4.0 and gcc3.3 from the current Apple Xcode). According to the Apple web site gcc3.1 was not part of their developer programs since 2002 when the Jaguar was the OS X version:The following package will be installed or updated: icewmThe following additional package will be installed: gcc3.1Do you want to continue? I don't have one (or, rather, no /sw/share/doc/doxygen/src).

I'll have to think about it.

I'm pretty sure it's a runtime issue, nothing to do with inkscape's
build. What version (if any) of the "python" package do you have
installed? I'm thinking you have none (though you have a "python2.4",
and if that's true, that installing "python" version 1:2.4 or higher
could solve the problem.

sorry; i checked only the last two months...

I rebuild popt as discussed there; but doxygen didn't build. just noticed
that doxy 1.4.7 is out; tried to adapt the .info for it
but it fails with the same error

strange...

I checked for the file's directory and it doesn't exists:

ls -ld /sw/src/fink.build/root-doxygen-1.4.7-1002/sw/share/doc/doxygen/src
ls: /sw/src/fink.build/root-doxygen-1.4.7-1002/sw/share/doc/doxygen/src: No
such file or directory

could you tell me, what should be in this src-directory on your machine?

[Fink-users] planner-el and reminder-el won't load in emacs

2006-07-18 Thread Jordan Mantha
Hi all!
I've been playing around with getting emacs through fink. I'm pretty knew with
emacs so bare with me if this a completely trivial thing. I installed
emacs22-carbon and then I installed a few other -el packages like yactex,
python-mode, nxml-mode, remember-el, planner-el, and muse-el. My problem is that
at least remember-el and planner-el won't load because apparently emacs can't
find them. I put the lines recommended in the package descriptions in ~/.emacs
but when I start emacs it says it can't find them. When I try to manually use
the modes in emacs (M-x plan for example) there is nothing. Anyway, any help
would be appreciated. I could alway grab the .el files myself but I thought
since fink packages existed I'd try it the "easy" way.

-Jordan Mantha

P.S. I tried various things like installing other of the emacsen in fink and
reinstalling the -el packages after or before emacs. Nothing seems to work.

A similar error was reported for the 10.4-transitional revision of the
same version of doxygen:

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.general/20350

The 10.4 tree version (> above) does indeed work for me. However, I
have different output at the same point:

cd /Volumes/Archive/fink.build/root-doxygen-1.4.6-1002/sw/share/doc/doxygen/doc
; /usr/bin/make
DOXYGEN_DOCDIR=..; \
export DOXYGEN_DOCDIR; \
VERSION=1.4.6 ; \
export VERSION; \
...

One question occurs to me: Did you turn on the whole unstable tree to
get this version of doxygen?
