[Fink-users] Geramik and Qt

2003-02-19 Thread Michel Alexandre Salim

Hello,

I am using the latest KDE 3.1 from Fink (3.1-17) and KDE styles work
perfectly fine. I do notice though that Qt applications seem to be
stuck in Motif mode and do not honour KDE colour schemes as they should.

Geramik is a Keramik lookalike theme for GTK 1.2 and 2.0. Works great
but it gets its colour scheme from Qt, and since Qt does not seem to
function properly in this regard, I get Gtk apps that look like the
default Keramik colour scheme instead of the one I selected (near-Aqua,
for obvious reasons :p)

Has anyone managed to get Qt theming to work? (as in, following KDE's
colour scheme and style)

Thanks,

Michel Salim

Oops, nevermind. Just realised I somehow have a root-owned ~/.qt
directory. Doh. Must have tried running qtconfig sudo'ed at some point
for some bizarre reason...

[Fink-users] OSX 10.2.4: first impression

Just finished my update to 10.2.4 - and so far so good, nothing breaks.
Fink still run - tested by running KControl :)

On the other hand this kills my uptime though. Damn, and I just
realised as well that unlike Linux, Darwin actually maintains your
uptime while the computer is sleeping, thus I ended up with an uptime
of 3 days after a week of usage...

[Fink-users] (no subject)

2003-02-12 Thread Michel Alexandre Salim
Hi developers,

I have been using a modified Gtk+2 build, set to depend on libpng3, to
run ROX Filer and everything works fine - should the dependencies on
gtk+2 and gtk-engines be changed to reflect the upgrade to libpng3?

Regards,
- Michel

[Fink-users] gtk+2 and gtk-engines still depend on libpng

Hi developers,
(ps sorry for the previous message that was sent accidentally
subject-less)

I have been using a modified Gtk+2 build, set to depend on libpng3, to
run ROX Filer and everything works fine - should the dependencies on
gtk+2 and gtk-engines be changed to reflect the upgrade to libpng3?

Thanks Masanori for the good work :). The only thing I would like now
is pango 1.1.2 but I understand it would have to wait for XFree 4.3 and
fontconfig

Re: [Fink-users] Problems compiling doxygen-1.2.18-5 -- Fixed!

Cool... thanks David. Just to confirm, that new (old) version of
fancyhdr will be the one that comes with teTeX 2.0? so I have to remove
that workaround ~/Library/teTeX/... ?

Still stuck compiling kdelibs :p What does Fink use for building their
packages actually... dual-G4 1 GHz boxes? :)

Michel

Excellent, thanks Martin :). I was digging my own hole deeper and
deeper trying to install the prepackaged KDE 3.0.7 debs - I use
freetype2-hinting, but kdebase3-ssl 3.0.7 depends only on
freetype2-shlibs (no | freetype2-hinting-shlibs).. arrgh. Going to
install KDE 3.1 once I get doxygen working :)

Re: [Fink-users] Problems compiling doxygen-1.2.18-4

2003-02-06 Thread Michel Alexandre Salim
Another possibility is to replace the new fancyhdr.sty by the old one.
I just tried it and it works. Here is how:

1. Put the old fancyhdr.sty version 2.0 or earlier, for example the
one I have here (version 1.99d):
http://www.maths.univ-rennes1.fr/~costabel/fancyhdr.sty
into your ~/Library/texmf/tex/latex directory (create it if it doesn't
exist)
2. Run 'sudo mktexlsr'

Alas, now it fail with something else:

echo Running latex...
Running latex...
pdflatex doxygen_manual.tex
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.14159-1.10a (Web2C 7.4.5)
kpathsea: Running mktexfmt pdflatex.fmt
fmtutil: config file `fmtutil.cnf' not found.
I can't find the format file `pdflatex.fmt'!
make[1]: *** [doxygen_manual.pdf] Error 1
make: *** [install_docs] Error 2
### execution of make failed, exit code 2
Failed: installing doxygen-1.2.18-4 failed

Funnily if I then go to
/sw/src/root-doxygen-1.2.18-4/sw/share/doc/doxygen/latex and run make,
everything works fine :(. Bizarre.

This is not by any chance due to me using system-tetex instead of
Fink's? In which case I might just switch...

Going to use the old doxygen .deb for now... compiling doxygen again
and again 10 times is rather annoying. Is there a way to tell fink to
continue building after user intervention to fix whichever error it
threw up?

Thanks,

Michel
