Re: [Fink-users] Ghostscript

2004-02-06 Thread Mitchell Turner
Thanks for the response. I cd to the directory and then used *.PDF at the end, which worked. I ended up using:

gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=merged.pdf *.PDF

Thank seems similar to your solution.
Mitch

Anyone know how to merge several PDFs into a single document using
Ghostscript.

I had to do the same thing the other day. This worked for me:

s -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=merged.pdf
source1.pdf source2.pdf source3.pdf etc.pdf

[Fink-users] Ghostscript

I am trying to use ghostscript to merge several PDF files into a single
file. I read that the following command line will do this:

gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dNOPAUSE -dQUIET -dBATCH

[Where /Users/mitchell/Desktop/PDF_Temp is the directory containing
the PDF files I'd like to have merge.]

I get the following complaint from terminal:

[Fink-users] OpenMotif3 Problem?

2004-01-09 Thread Mitchell Turner
I am trying to compile SND from CCRMA which uses Openmotif3. I
downloaded Openmotif3 version 2.2.2-5 loaded with fink. While
compiling SND, there is an error that says:

/sw/include/Xm/Ext.h:19:27: Xm/XmStrDefsI.h: No such file or directory

I looked at Ext.h and it does wish to include XmStrDefsl.h, but that
file is not in my distribution of Openmotif3. Should that file be
included? If so, where can I get it?

Thanks for your time,
Mitch

[Fink-users] openmotif problem

2004-01-02 Thread Mitchell Turner
I am trying to compile SND from CCRMA. I am encountering an error that
prints out as follows:

/sw/include/Xm/Ext.h:19:27: Xm/XmStrDefsI.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [xm.o] Error 1
I have looked at the 19th line of Ext.h in /sw/include/Xm . This file
(Ext.h) has
#include
but there is no file XmStrDefsI.h in the version of openmotif3 that I
installed with fink. Is there a missing file in the fink version of
openmotif3? Is the #include line incorrect?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave,
I don't mean this to be rude. Does a while mean a day or a week.
Thanks so much for the fast response to my question.

[Fink-users] Glib2 and GTK+2 problem

2004-01-02 Thread Mitchell Turner
I'm trying to install GTK+2 and Glib2 and have run into a problem that
I cannot solve.

I get the following when installing glib2:

% fink install glib2
/usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink install glib2
Password:
Information about 1212 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "gtk-doc (>= 1.1-1)" for package
"glib2-2.2.3-2" (no matching packages/versions found)

and when installing Gtk+2:

% fink install gtk+2
/usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink install gtk+2
Password:
Information about 1212 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "gtk-doc (>= 1.1-1)" for package
"glib2-2.2.3-2" (no matching packages/versions found)

Any help resolving these dependencies would be appreciated. I'm using
Mac OS 10.3.2 and the latest Fink (I ran selfupdate before trying Glib2
and Gtk+2).

Thanks in advance,
Mitch Turner
