Has anybody come up against this before?

I got indeed a 'yes' there _ the rest conforms with what I have.
Your fink version? ("fink -V")

JF Mertens

fink -V produces the following

Package manager version: 0.11.0
Distribution version: 0.5.0.cvs

I did a self update last week to see if this improved things, but I had
no luck.

[Fink-users] guile and libgcc.dylib problems

2003-01-22 Thread Simon Martin
Hi
I'm having problems building texmacs. The configure process chokes
because guile can't find libgcc.dylib. From what I can find out about
libgcc, it should not be used with Jaguar. Is it possible to persuade
guile not to use this library?

TIA

Simon

Re: [Fink-users] guile and libgcc.dylib problems

2003-01-23 Thread Simon Martin
Hmm, I do have one or two things - from the days before I knew about
Fink mainly. Before I obliterate everything in the /usr/local
directory, do you happen to know what should be in there - or where I
can find out?

Thanks

Simon

Re: [Fink-users] guile and libgcc.dylib problems

2003-01-27 Thread Simon Martin
Thanks for your help Alex.

A combination of moving /usr/local to a new location and a clean
install of fink did the job. I think one of the packages in my
previous install of fink had managed to get linked against libgcc.dylib.

Cheers

[Fink-users] ppower4

2003-09-24 Thread Simon Martin
Hi
has anybody managed to get ppower4 to work? I'm especially keen to get
it working with Lyx. I cannot get the transitions to work either
through Lyx or by exporting the file to Latex from Lyx.

TIA

Simon

[Fink-users] Trouble compiling gtk+ under 10.2.2

2002-11-29 Thread Simon Martin
Hi
Having recently upgraded to Jaguar I am trying to get my fink
installation up to date. The self-update has run just fine, but when I
try to upgrade all I get a problem with gtk+.

The configure stage complains that it can't find glib - see below

checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.8... no
...

My installation of glib is up to date and /sw/bin/glib-config

libglib-1.2.0.0.10.dylib and there are symbolic links to
libglib-1.2.10.0.dylib

Has anybody come up against this before?

[Fink-users] problem with unstable list

2004-07-01 Thread Simon Martin
Hi
I need to upgrade to version 1.0.x of aquaterm, which according to the
fink website is in the unstable branch for 10.3. I cannot find
aquaterm in my unstable list. I presume that the web site listing is
correct, so can anybody tell me how to get Fink to reinstall the list
of packages in the unstable branch?

Cheers
Simon

Re: [Fink-users] problem with unstable list

2004-07-01 Thread Simon Martin
Thanks Alex
your suggestion got me on the right lines
I wanted to avoid turning the unstable branch on, so I had to do a
"selfupdate-cvs" in order to get the unstable package descriptions
sorted.

Cheers
