[Fink-users] Since when does autoconf2.5 depend on emacs?
Hi List, today I wanted to update my fink version is Package manager version: 0.20.4 Distribution version: 0.7.0.cvs running on a Power Mac G4 Dual 1.42 Ghz. Among the files to be updated is autoconf2.5 which now wants me to select an emacs version in oder to satisfy a depency. Since which version of autoconf is this necessary. Is it now forbidden to edit configuration files with other editors then emacs? Regards, Eric Hoch -- ## Ansprechpartner Anwenderunterstützung, users-Mailingliste ## War unsere Hilfe erfolgreich? I don't want to install an editor that I won't use to satisfy a dependency. What reason can there be for including emacs as a dependency? Any body know any work-arounds? -Chuck --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by The 2004 JavaOne(SM) Conference Learn from the experts at JavaOne(SM), Sun's Worldwide Java Developer Conference, June 28 - July 1 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA REGISTER AND SAVE! http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf Priority Code NWMGYKND ___ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users

Thanks Peter, that didn't work right after I installed emacsen-common, but once I'd done a fink selfupdate with the new emacsen-common in place, it did work (no emacs needed for me!). All set now. Thanks again. -Chuck --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by The 2004 JavaOne(SM) Conference Learn from the experts at JavaOne(SM), Sun's Worldwide Java Developer Conference, June 28 - July 1 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA REGISTER AND SAVE! http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf Priority Code NWMGYKND ___ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
