Kernel extensions are now required to be signed. There’s no way for fink to do 
this so I guess it’s now impossible to package osxfuse with fink (or MacPorts 
or Homebrew). You have to use the official release like Remi says.

I have the same problem after updating to 10.11. I removed the fink version and 
switched to the version available from http://osxfuse.github.com/, which works 
flawlessly.

Was there anything in the system logs?  (try 
/Applications/Utilities/Console.app, perhaps).
This may be a function of 10.11’s “rootless” protection.

[Fink-users] osxfusefs problem

I have a strange problem with osxfusefs. 
I have installed El Capitan, and recompiled fink. 
If I try to mount with sshfs I get the following message

the OSXFUSE file system is not available (71)
