Re: [Firebird-net-provider] Newby Wants Help

2005-10-29 Thread Carlos Guzmán Álvarez

Hello:

I am trying to figure out how to add, update, insert
and delete with the firebird dot net provider and
visual studio 2003.

Would someone be kind enough to lead me to a tutorial,
sample code, example etc.

I have installed the fb dot net provider and the items
are visible in the toolbox.

There are tutorials on that look at the ado.net samples that ships with
the .net framework/visual studio

You can find some interesing things here too:

Re: [Firebird-net-provider] Compact framework 1.1

2005-10-29 Thread Carlos Guzmán Álvarez

Hello:

What should be changed to compile it with netcf 1.0 sp3 ?
Is there something critical which is not supported by netcf?

I didn't remember exactly what but doing the build with the .net cf 1.0
raises a lot ( a huge lot ;) ) of compilation errors

As .net 2.0 is yet here i think we should stick to the .net cf 2.0 ;)

Re: [Firebird-net-provider] Deploying the provider.

2005-10-29 Thread Carlos Guzmán Álvarez

Hello:

Do I have to register the DLL on the GAC? The installer already copies
the following files to the app's folder:

_That machine has the .net framework 2.0 beta 2 installed ??

In the 1.7 archive, the sources cannot compile with 1.1 (with vs2003).
Is there a compiled version somewhere ?

No, the sources aren't compatibles with netcf 1.1

Re: [Firebird-net-provider] Firebird .NET Data Provider

2005-10-29 Thread Carlos Guzmán Álvarez

Hello:

I'm using "Firebird .NET Data Provider" version 1.7.0.1 to connect to
the database, but I'm getting following error,

unsupported on-disk structure for file G:\Firebird\Firebird_1_5
\databases\FB_DNN3110.FDB; found 11 type 10, support No message for
error code 335544379 found.

Can anybody tell me how do I fix that problem?

Huummm loks like that database was created with a higher version of
Firebird ( maybe with 2.0 ?? ), can you ask this in the Firebird support
list, please ??
