Grabb was killed in a stallion fight by Dragtind.  The way I heard it was
that they were in adjoining pastures and got going with each other over the
fence.  I don't know a lot of the details but apparently Grabb was tangled
up in the fence and Dragtind was able to get the upper hand or hoof I
suppose in this case.  

It certainly was a great loss to the Fjord world.  I show that he was 24
years old when he died.
