How do I go about selecting a draft harness? I searched our archives and learned a bit. I think I like synthetics because they are lighter, and I am a small person. Camptown seemed to have more for lighter driving than working draft. I checked the JW website and was boggled by the number of collars and hames. I'm looking for the basics, not show gear. Where do you suggest I go from here? Ann >> Back to Camptown.Lisa ( a very satisified customer..)

Goat-kissing
This message is from: "Knutsen Fjord Farm" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OK, OK, the goat-kissing picture is posted! Look for it [after gazing in wonder at Erlend for a while, of course...] on the "Herd" page, and follow the "Clark the goat" button. We will be updating the Herd page asap. However, we do have to get ready for our Thanksgiving trip to La Paz, Baja I made the mistake of mentioning the trip on the phone to our wonderful vet. There was a long pause on the other end, and then I remembered that one of his partners had been out of commission all summer, and that the other two hadn't had any days off to speak of in all that time... Oops! At least he laughed. On another subject, we have been mailing out videos of Erlend at the Libby Eval and Show to interested mare owners. If anyone is interested in getting one [tape, not mare], just contact us privately and send a blank tape. Actually we do have a mare for sale too, but you can get that info on our site. Happy Thanksgiving to all. During this time, it can be easy to think we have little to be thankful for, but that is not ever the case. I, for one, am very thankful for Julie Will's fighting spirit and for all the support she and her family have. I am alo immensely thankful for her friendship. Bye for now, Peg Peg Knutsen - Ellensburg, WA http://www.eburg.com/~kffjord/

Hi Jean, As far as I know, you don't. I believe it is best to just let them run or stay out in pasture. You most definitely do not lock them in the barn. My husband (the non-horse person) always wants to put Heidi in during a storm and I have to remind him that she will seek her own shelter. -- "Built FJORD tough" Carol M.
