Re: Reminder - MN Horse Expo
This message is from: Warren Stockwell [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hey Linda, I only live about 1 hr. from the fair grounds, so my family knows I go for the education and I try to go one day alone. Last year Hannah was in the fashion show, how cute but it created a monster!!! At 8 she is already a clothes horse!! It is a business expense for me because I farm sit for my job, and I am responsible for lots of horses. If their aren't any classes I am interested in than I don't go all 3 days, and I try to not stay to long or to early. My critters need care to. I think if you look at your books I have spent a bit of change at All Things Fjord last year. I gotta get me one of those Fjord hooded sweatshirts that's my next purchase. Everytime I get a fjordie something everyone else wants one, I can't afford 5 of everything. So I will be around so whatever is needed I am open. Do you stay in the cities? Thanks so much for your offer - we will just let you know as time draws near and during the expo - yes, much better to visit and inform than to shop - except at All Things Fjord More!, ya know:):):) haha!! This message is from: Jeanne M Zuker [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Friday 28 Feb., 03 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ref: Wintec saddles Stephanie and Avery, Congratulations on your Fjords. I have the wintec Isbell w/cair system and I use the wide (red) gullet. Olaf (Fjord) is what I would describe as athletic build some might describe him as drafty but my neighbors have Clydesdales and they are draft. I use a non-slip sheet with a regular saddle pad and it works great for both Olaf and myself. Hope this helps. Jeanne in Michigan

I will keep you posted. I heard he's on Channel 12. But I watch satellite, not local so much so can't give you the name of the station. Will check. And I'll find out his name. And will also give a heads up when I know it will be airing. Pamela A HREF=http://hometown.aol.com/northhorse/index.html;Northern Holiday Horses/A

This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ruthie, Thanks for the memo. That's not a bad idea to find out aboutgetting in touch with the program itself and finding out if a taping of some sort would be available. I'll look into that. This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Beth We have had such a horrible winter here in Virginia that my husband and I have taken to watching the Encore Western Channel - we have gotten reacquainted with Matt, Doc and Miss Kitty. Yes, our winter has been that bad! We also saw the promo for dancing with horses, but didn't realize that the whole program was going to air. If you hear of the times, I would appreciate knowing. The promo was great - showed several clips of fjords as well as other beautiful performances. One was a beautiful huge belgian doing some beautiful dressage movements. We have snow and ice on the ground here again Mary Harvey

This alerts the horses do danger and also, 99% of the time scare off the danger. We do not use our llamas for guarding, but they still tell us when danger is around. Just the other day, I went down to my office and saw through the window Engar, our Fjord stallion was on alert. You know, ears perked, nose forward, he was intently watching something. I looked over to the llama pen and there all six were, along with our donkey, standing in a line at the fence, staring at something. I went immediately outside and there were two HUGE dogs at our pony pen! The ponies were scared, needless to say, but because of Engar and the llamas, I was able to chase the dogs away before any damage was done to the ponies. Evening of Dancing Horses This message is from: Starfirefarm [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Everyone, For those of you who get the Starz Encore Group Westerns channel, the Evening of Dancing Horses is supposed to be shown sometime in March. Apparently, the promotional spot about the show has begun airing, as one of my students told me that a friend of hers saw it in New Mexico? The dates and times of the show are supposed to be available, or begin airing, on Feb. 28th? I'm not sure. We don't get the Westerns channel. We have seen the video footage of the long promotional piece and several shots of the quadrille are included. Sami Poirier and Cheryl Gioia were interviewed and did a great job! If anyone sees it, will you let us know? Thanks. Beth We've been watching that particular commercial on the Westerns channel (is there any other? =))) and are thrilled to see the GREAT looking Fjords on it ! Even one with a fancy zig-zag cut mane that looks terrific ! (the black is left standard long, while the lighter hairs have been cut into diamond points ^^ with the black as a pattern background. The Waverly auction has actual kill pens on the premises. Because of the high number of meat buyers, the large number of Fjords going through this auction, and the condition of some of these Fjords, some of us have been concerned, and therefore, decided to help market these Fjords. Personally, I believe we are helping Hamlett, not putting him down. We are requesting everyone that attends this auction to

This message is from: Starfirefarm [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have a copy of the long version of the promotional tape and it says something about Taking you On the Trail to an Evening of Dancing Horses. Maybe their On the Trail thing is just a snippet about the show. Bummer if it is, and if so, I'm sorry I got everyone excited about it. Hopefully, some of you will get to see the long version, which shows several clips of the quadrille itself. Ah well, any air time is better than no air time! Re: Fjords on TV! Evening of Dancing Horses
This message is from: ruth bushnell [EMAIL PROTECTED] Gretchen, so far... all we have seen is a very brief commercial advertizing the dancing horses event (it's compromised of mostly a couple of very large draft horses mincing around) but toward the end you can see a couple of Fjords standing behind the promotional speaker... we got so excited we missed the message! hee hee even so, I do believe it is referring to the event itself and in all liklihood, may very well not be televised (at least not on that particular channel). it would be splendiferously wonderful if it were on tv, and I would sure enough record it for you if it were. maybe someone with the show itself will do just that and reproduce a video for the many Fjord fans in Fjord List land ...? I wouldn't mind reimbursing for time and expenses so I can watch it as well! Thanks!~ Gretchen Karlson A HREF=http://hometown.aol.com/fjordlove/myhomepage/index.html;Karlson Equestrian Portraiture/A
