This is a message from Phillip Odden Barronett, Wisconsin.

We are planning an open house for people who would like to see our fjord
horses and our Norwegian Wood carvings and furniture. The open house will be
October 4,5 from 9:00- 4:00 and will be held at our farm in Northwestern
Wisconsin near the small town of Barronett. We currently have 18 fjords here
including our stallion Smedsmo Green. We will be offering wagon rides and
tours of our studios and home. There will be carvings and horses for sale.

Our current sales list includes these horses. We have a core group of horses
we are not actively trying to sell. However if you are seriously interested in
buying any of our horses we can give you a price. Please ask

Bjarne 2001 gelding. Vivikka x BDF Polstar son of Gjest. Bjarne has good
ground manners and has been ground driven. He ties, and leads well, is good
with his feet, clips and loads in a small trailer easily. He should stand well
over 14 hh when grown and is of medium build. He has good legs and moves very
nicely. His body is well proportioned and he has a good attitude and is easy
to handle. I expect him to be a very fine riding horse as well as a good
driving horse. Price now $3200 Price will increase with training.
Odden's Calista brown dun born 2002 Smedsmo Green x Triola imported White dun
mare from Norway. She will be an up-headed light style athletic fjord. Her
mother has a beautiful head, a wonderful temperament, good fjord type and
good movement. Triola is sired by Vilar Brim one of the foremost stallions
standing in Norway. Colista has a very calm disposition as does the stallion
and the mare. She leads and ties and was imprinted at birth. Price $4500

Norona AR-N-2174-M born May 15, 2000 Sired by Luneren an imported stallion
from Norway. Brown Dun. This is a medium style fjord not real light and not
heavy about 14 hands. She has good fjord type nice legs and a well-
proportioned body with a beautiful head. Norona is very mild mannered and is
closely related to Luna. Norona and Luna drive very nice as a pair. Both have
good ground manners. I have been trail riding Nora and she is very steady
riding as well as driving.

Luna II Ar -N-2173-M Aunt to Norona also sired by Luneren Born June 12, 2000
Brown Dun. Medium build about 14 hands. Very mild disposition well
proportioned body and good fjord type very nice head. These horses would be
good foundation mares for a new herd or they will be fine all around riding
and driving fjords. These horses have very good ground manners and have been
handled daily. I have not started to ride Luna yet.$4500. I will sell Luna
alone but will sell Norona only with Luna as a pair at this time. $11,000 for
the pair.

Odden's DuRose red dun foal Woods Karina x Smedsmo Green Our red dun mare
has a very nice disposition. We ride and drive her single and double. She was
pictured in two calendars for 2003. She was evaluated at age three and has a
high red ribbon for conformation and a silver medallion for performance. We
call her Raude and she is a very dependable mare. Children can ride her with
ease. We are planning to keep the very nice foal she had last year but DuRose
is for sale. She is an up-headed foal showing lots of athletic ability and
good legs. She should have a very nice head. I expect her to have a darker red
color like her mother. Price $3200

Odden's Dovre Flxtreson is a brown dun stud colt out of Silviann a Vilar
Brim daughter imported from Norway. Silviann scored an 83 at the La Crosse
evaluation. The foal is sired by Flotren 2pr. a brown dun stallion also
imported from Norway. Flotren is a very sought after stallion from New York
state. Silviann is an up-headed mare with good Fjord type and a mild
disposition. She drives well and has good energy. Both sire and dam move very
well. This up-headed foal looks to have a well proportioned body, nice legs,
and a very nice head. Dovre Flxtreson is a good stallion prospect and
represents blood lines not common in North America. Let us know if you are
interested in him. $5500

Please email privately or call us for directions to our farm.

I use a KK three piece bit on Tank for riding. I like
this better than a two-piece snaffle. He likes it too
and it is good for a Fjord's low palate. For driving,
I use a mullen liverpool for driving. Tank appears to
like this bit also.

Someone asked about bits. I have a box o' bits from
previous Throughbreds, we only use fat snaffles for
riding and draft and butterfly mullen mouths for
driving. SO
one of these days I will have a bit sale..
