This message is from: "jgayle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hooray Jean that you have rain. I have been worrying about your fire situation there. We had 97 degrees today and no wind. Horses are sweating but old Gunnar still has his head down on the dry grass in the usual Fjord position, Jean G. Re: just got back:)
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello List, Just arrived back home last evening after a lovely little get-away up north to Lumby, BC. It never stops amazing me how beautiful that drive (about 6 1/2 hrs) is and how calming. I went up for a visit to see my friend Ursula and to take in her expertise with a good driving lesson. I learned areas to work on and areas I was becoming better at, all valuable info as I continue to prepare for Libby. The Jensens as well as being professional horse folk , have the gift of hositality. I had a black bear run across the road in front of me as well as a herd of wild turkeys:) what a blessing to be part of such events. I am always sad to leave..missing Ursula and the fun we always have even before I am down the driveway... I am looking forward after two years absence, to seeing you all at the Libby eval and show. I hope you are all enjoying the hot summer and are busy getting ready as well. See you soon, Kathleen Rollins, Cornerstone Fjords, Deer Park, WA
RE:breeding
This message is from: "Debbie Shade" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Thank all of you for your answers to my breeding question. I will consider all comments, as I am not in any hurry to make a decision, next year or in 6-7 years or never. What age do you usually stop breeding a healthy fit mare? She is a very busy girl right now, doing an open show this weekend with a 13 year old. Mark, I haven't researched the gray Fjord genitics, but I did breed my Palomino mare to a Bay with a chestnut gene and ended up with a Black. Go figure. Thanks again to all Debbie in MA
