Knutsen email

2005-04-15 Thread Douglas Knutsen
This message is from: "Douglas Knutsen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi all,

Well, right in the heat of breeding season I hooked us up to a wireless
router. This accursed thing has been blocking email, I've finally been able to
prove. I have disconnected my technological marvel and am now receiving email
just fine, the wired way.

So, if anybody has felt ignored or just confused about Knutsen Fjord Farm's
responsiveness, please try again. The symptoms appear to have been that we
would not receive an email and the sender would receive no notification of
bounced email.

This problem has been going on for 3+ weeks. Spam litigation? Unknown spam
filter in the way? No - router revolt.

Thanks for your time,

Doug Knutsen

NFHR VERSATILITY VIDEO

Yesterday I received my copy of the NFHR VERSATILITY VIDEO. It is very well
done with great pictures and video footage all put to music. The NFHR is to
be complemented for supporting this project and a very special thank you to
Alan Merrill and Jane Sawyer for their part on the production. This project
has been several years in the making and the pictures and video footage were
requested and received from the membership. It covers every discipline and
level of skills including trail rides and packing in the beautiful
mountains, dressage, western, carriage driving, logging, plowing, skiing,
parades, therapeutic riding, Fjords running free and children with foals.
It can be ordered from the Mike May as a video or DVD at a cost of only $15
which includes postage. You should have received a copy of the order form
with your by laws or the form can be downloaded from the document section of
the Website.

The handsome stallion whose conformation picture appears near the beginning
of the video is Green Valley Farm's Thorvald.
http://www.greenvalleyfarm.com/pages/ThorvaldPage.html Have your mare
schedule a date with Thorvald either live or AI cover.

The bubble appeared, but no feet...nothing. Finally I saw a hoof. The baby
was on its back in the birth canal. Working against the clock, I got the
second leg and started pulling. Having to pull UP instead of down.

0840 little Miracle was lain gently on the ground.

Mother and baby doing fine.
CONGRATULATIONS! She was considerate to wait till a decent hour to give
birth to the baby.

I have a Misha daughter (her birthday is today also, by the way!) and she is
wonderful, elegant and beautiful. May your little Meeracle be the same.

Congratulations Fred,
I know you must be proud. Why do we do this to ourselves? I had trouble
with just calves being born. Uff da. So much harder to see a beloved mare
in distress. You did great! Good luck on the next one. Hope it's easier.

We are proud to announce the arrival of PPS Meera-cle. She IS a miracle.
At 8:20 this morning, our mare Troika (bred to Misha) went into labor.

The bubble appeared, but no feet...nothing. Finally I saw a hoof. The
baby

was on its back in the birth canal. Working against the clock, I got the
second leg and started pulling. Having to pull UP instead of down.

0840 little Miracle was lain gently on the ground.

Mother and baby doing fine.

One to go

Fred

I'm pooped...
