Wanted to give a heads up to the Fjord group first - We are selling our

the last few years. $725,000 in a "neighborhood" of $850K - $2M properties.

I won't go into all the amazing details of the property, but if you are

This message is from Phillip Odden.

The Timberland Hills Driving Trial is canceled. I and my family feel that we
are unable to accomplish this task this year due to circumstances beyond our
control. Brian still plans to come to our farm and we will have fun with our
fjords over the 4th of July.

Sorry for any inconvenience, Phil Odden

Some things must be said / brag sort of...

2008-06-09 Thread fjords
This message is from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello everyone,

Some things must be said!

Some things must not go unannounced.

We (Rune and I) have been lucky enough to not only meet but to become
friends with a trainer we not only respect. but we hope will be our friend
for life. This trainer has worked with all sorts of horses. This trainer has
a great reputation for being a fare but stern. The boundaries are outlined
first and foremost. The results are stupendous. We do not always had a
chance to work with this trainer for her schedule is always full. However,
we did get a spot for one of the horses we co-own and we have been more than
satisfied with the results of our horse's training.

I am writing about our own Gayle Ware. from Eugene, Oregon. Gayle is known
for Dusty.but Gayle should be known for her compassion and her dedication to
our breed and horses in general. We were able to put a "non fjord" in
training with her with exceptional results. Our Dole Horse came back to us
with such grace, talent with training. WOW. is all I said to Gayle.

If you ask us who should train your horse? We would recommend Gayle Ware for
under saddle and for higher levels of training. Do not be fooled by the
WESTERN SADDLE she uses. GOOD TRAINING. is the same. Dressage, western
saddle or English saddle, sidesaddle, saddle seat or vaulting. good
training translated into any seat or fashion!

THANK YOU GAYLE for such a great job on our Dole horse, Stjerna!

2008-06-09 Thread Pat Holland

This message is from: "Pat Holland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Congratulations to Jessica - good going! What a great pair you make. Talk
about educating the public on what a Fjord can do... you've made the Dean's
List!

And congratulations to Mike & Susie Sadlon and Patti Jo with Nik.

I will second the motion on what a wonderful stallion he is.

Mike & Linda Neperney delivered Nik to my farm in route to Patti Jo's - I
had the luck of "playing" with him for two days and what a wonderful horse
he truly is. Mike & Linda took great care of him, but only used him for
breeding - by the way they have several young offspring of his at their
farm in Straford, Iowa - four yearlings and three alongside. You will be
hearing allot about Nik this coming year - and might want to purchase a baby
from them before they are sold. Mike N. is going in for surgery this summer
and I've helped them place some of their other horses for them. They have
some of the best - foundation bred Fjords - for sale, call or email me for
more information, or Patti Jo can direct you as well.

Nik walked off the trailer a total gentleman - and I have three breeding
age/mature stallions and mares in heat on grounds here. We gave him some
time to roll and get off his sea legs - then I rode him - after three and
1/2 years in a pasture with mares - he didn't miss a beat. Total attention,
kind, sweet, ...right with the program. I even had Robin get on him -
totally took care of her.

He is a perfect example of what the Fjord is all about.

Someone mentioned awhile back a stallion should have THE presence the
kind of presence of "look at me"...(and if you don't look at me I'm going to
scream and fidget until you do) - Kind of a Tom Cruise kind of a
thing.. Nik and those like him don't have to scream and posture -
they act more like a John Wayne - quiet and confident.

Congratulations to all.

Pat Holland - in northwestern Illinois where after a record breaking
winter - we are into floods/tornados and Amazon rains. I've noticed the
animals are starting to walk around in pairs ; )
