I have relisted two saddles on ebay, lowered the price...I need to buy tack
and money is tight. All information is on the items on ebay, but if you do
have any questions, please write me off list.
#320420351802 and #320420170891.
My Lang has been at a rehab this month, doing water treadmill, I have a
picture if anyone would like to see, its helping to keep him in shape, in this
hot weather and hopefully strengthening his backend. Ynde goes to a dressage
trainer for 60days, come the 19th of this month, we'd put it off hoping for
cooler weather...I'm sure she'll be the first to get worked in the a.m.s She
surely does not like this heat. That makes two of us.
Wish I had the money to buy one of these water treadmills, wonder the cost? I
know the owner of this place uses it herself...not sure I would, they keep the
water clean/filtered, but it still looks kind of ucky to me...course they have
a barn full going through it everyday.
Stay cool.

Karen is right on about Bozals! The one I bought about 40 years ago,
came with a fijador,

OK, come on people... Bosal and FIADOR are Spanish words, not Norwegian (even
if you use it on a Fjord!). There is no "J" in Fiador! LOL

Regarding recent posts on Bozals;

Yes, Karen is right on about Bozals! The one I bought about 40 years ago,
came with a fijador, but I eventually took it off, as it was just a thin
'rope', which in time got stiff. Without it, we find that the headstall
comes too close to the horses eyes, so we use a shoe string to tie it back to
the throatlatch. Not a perfect situation for sure. But, it gets almost
daily use on one of Sven's 'kids'.

i don't remember if i mentioned that oz has a new pasture mate, an
andalusion/QH cross who also does outside only board. gizmo the mini is in
love with
this mare, and she seems to be infatuated with him. it's quite fun to
watch, since he can, and has, walked underneath her.

so in the evening the outside boarders are all put together in the pasture
with the shelter, making it oz, the lovely viola (fjord), fiona (the mare)
and gizmo, my mini. the mare's owner would like her to get a flake of hay
at
night and i was there last night when it was tossed into the pasture.

the resul
ts were not at all what i expected. everyone came running, of
course, and oz was nosing into the hay, then discovered a smaller pile a
few
feet away. viola the fjord came up to have a sample, and the new mare
chased
her away! and she actually left.

then, of all things, gizmo decided the other pile was his, and started
chasing oz away. they were doing the usual things horses do when they are
trying
to show who is boss, only gizmo can only reach the middle of ozzie's
chest,
which explains the bite mark that showed up a few days ago. oz looked like
he was going to kick, but gave up and wandered away to find some grass.

that left the mare and gizmo eating the hay, the the two fjords eating
grass. i don't think i could ever imagine that, and chased off by a mini
at
that!!!

life is strange.

laurie, and oz, and gizmo, who fancies himself as leader of that pack

Yikes, guess what? I am just NOW unpacking my camper & trailer from the
Moses
Lake show! Am I a slacker or what? I do have a sort-of excuse: I worked 6
days
straight after returning home, and I got a 8 week old puppy as
well...that'l
keep ya busy!
WOW - The show @ ML keeps getting better & better every year, and I know
this
is because of the level of commitment and involvement by so many folks. I
think more than half of the people that showed or spectated volunteered for
something or other.

I had so much fun hanging out w/ my buddy from Nevada, Jacquelyn Leuener
who
came up to assist (and learn) @ the Eval and to help me with the show on
Friday, and meeting my Mom at the show, and then being parked (again!)
right
next to Joanne Bzdea Stoch..we
shared a couple of nice dinners in the
camper
together...But the most memorable/ best time I had all weekend was watching
the Play Day classes Friday night. What a hoot, and Mr. Froelich's
commentary
was hilarious! (Almost time to go pro, Karl!) So many kids came this year
- it
was wonderful to see. I worked my a...@! off all day on Friday so it was
really
nice to sit and veg out in the bleachers
