Where is Ellen's original message to this fjordhorse list? It is not in the archives either. Where is Curtis' reply on this list? It is also NOT in the archives. The only message in the archives is a reply from Ruth Bushnell with a subject of "registries and Strange symbols". Also searched by date yields no results. Is the fjordhorse list being censored?? I had NOTHING to do with Ellen posting her message. Let's see if THIS comes through on Steve's list. All Mail is scanned in AND out by Norton Anti-virus. Fred and Lois Pack Pack's Peak Stables Wilkeson, Washington 98396 NOTE; Addressed to fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com as well From: Ellen Barry at ethba...@yahoo.ie <ethba...@yahoo.ie> Date: Feb 13, 2012 Subject: [FjordIssues] Re: registries and Strange symbols To: fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com <fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com>, fjordiss...@yahoogroups.com <fjordiss...@yahoogroups.com> I wrote this email before, in HTML and it didn't get through. So here's the plain text version. I'll post it to the other Fjord list too, to see if it gets through. >............................. Registries get to make their own >rules......................... Hi Valerie, You're absolutely right. They not only make their own rules, they can decide whatever they like. I know of one person who has a horse that was illegally bred by the person who had custody of his horse at the time. A judge ruled that the mare had to go back to the rightful owner but the Registry refuses to register the foal of that breeding even though both mare and stallion are DNA'd and registered. The owner of the stallion wants an exorbitant breeding fee. Yes, you read that right. Even though prohibited from breeding that mare, she still did it and even wants a breeding fee. Subsequently, that person is rewarded by the Registry by not allowing the owner of the mare to register the foal unless the stallion owner agrees. The registry did not punish the despicable behavior. They rewarded it. Totally ridiculous and unjust at that too. ========================================= Lois' note: The stallion owner attempted to register the foal to herself after the mare owner was turned down by the registry. She was fortunately turned down. Important FjordHorse List Links: Subscription Management: http://tinyurl.com/5msa7e FH-L Archives: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw FH-L Shirts: http://tinyurl.com/8yky94l
