Really admire you for getting them to the vet clinic asap rather than dithering by getting vets and others opinions. (Out here in Oregon I am stunned at how many horse owners use the regional FB horse forums for really serious issues to save $$ ;-( Your experience really gave me a heads up (light-bulb moment), to be extremely careful about monitoring drift when applying chicken manures to our hayfields, which we might start doing this season as we'll be getting a belt trailer that we can haul up to 20+ yds at a time with.
