Re: vitamins
This message is from: laz...@united.net I have been feeding Buckeye feeds for over 2 years now and am very happy with them. Their theory is that your feed/grain should complement forage rather than the other way around. To start off we tested hay and a recommendation was made based on its quality. The fjords and most quarter horses get a coffee mug (they supply the cup) full morning and evening of Grow n Win which provides everything they need for good nutrition for basic work. In addition Buckeye has many products for special needs like old age, heavy work load, hard keepers, colic prone and so on. There is almost no added molasses or sugar--only a trace for palateabiity. If needed extra calories are supplied by fats which don't make your horse hyper or run hot. Can you tell I'm happy with it? Go to the buckeye website and give your local rep a call. Grazing Muzzle
This message is from: "lazyao" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have a fjord mare, 5 years old that I pasture with 7 quarter horses. The schedule they are on is perfect for the quarter horses, but Jayne is beginning to resemble a parade float. I saw an ad for a grazing muzzle which limits the amount of grass the horse gets while grazing, she'd get some but not as much as she could bite off and chew. Does anyone have any experience with one of these? AO
