Skylar
This message is from: sbiluk Dear Laurie, I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss of Skylar. Although I do not know the details, I am dealing with the sudden loss of my Krista as well. She was only 14, in her prime and very healthy. After a wonderful ride, when I got home I opened the trailer door and she was gone. Although extremely painful, I am thankful that her passing was quick and painless and I didn't have to watch her suffer nor have to make that terrible call to the vet. That was seven weeks ago. I was fortunate to have my other Fjord Dylan to help me grieve. May God give you comfort and His Peace. Re: Riding boot recommendation
This message is from: "sbiluk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Ariat has a nice wide toe box paddock boot. Either the Hanover or their new tourraine paddock boot. Great for wide feet. I wear a D width shoe and they fit nicely. S. Biluk Kristar Farm Romeo, MI The FjordHorse List archives can be found at: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw

re:Subject: Fjord Manure Spreader
This message is from: "sbiluk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> These are not good for winter weather. They are better for the south. We thought of purchasing one but after we found out that they don't work well with frozen manure we went with the Millcreek and have used that for three years and it works great and worth the money. I use to pull it with my four wheeler but now we use it with the tractor. Sandy Romeo, MI -- It has removed 325 spam emails to date. Paying users do not have this message in their emails. Re: Saddle for Fjord
This message is from: "sbiluk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Ruth, Regarding the saddle for a Fjord, we have the Duett "Companion" which fits our Fjords beautifully. You can find them at: http://www.duettsaddles.com/trail.htm. They also have dressage, jumping, etc., specifically for wide horses. Hope this helps. This message is from: "sbiluk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Re: fun with Fjords My two love it when I bring the four wheeler into the paddock to clean up the manure. They both find the four wheeler quite interesting and show no fear of it whatsoever. I find their curiosity quite entertaining and amusing. I will certainly try the "apple bob". Thanx for the idea! Re: fjordhorse-digest V2003 #60
This message is from: sbiluk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Sue, We have two rottweilers as well. Dogs are the reflection of their owners just to set the record straight. Bad owners, bad dogs follow. Rottweilers are protective of their domain and their "family". That is their trait. Any dog can attack and kill. I've know cute little Jack Russell terriers to be mean and vicious. As a rottweiler owner, you know that you need to take them to obedience school and make sure that they are well socialized! Also, it takes a rotti at least three years before they are mature and begin to "relax" but they will always remain "on guard". This is their job and they know it and are born with it. Unfortunately, you probably didn't hear the whole story behind the death of that child or what kind of people the owners were. The press love to hype this kind hysteria in the public. It's a good story for them to write about. Anyway, there are good rotti's and bad rotti's, good owners and people that should not own a rottweiler. The majority of people who buy rotti's usually get rid of them before they are two because they didn't realize the length of time for the dog to mature so they "dump" the dog. I could go on but I'm sure you'll get a lot of response to your letter. I just want to say that my rotti's (female and male) are the best dogs that I have ever owned and I'm glad they accepted me into "their family" because that's the way they think! Most sincerely, Sandy Biluk www.geocities.com/sjbbraveheart/Braveheart (my rotti's website) (Best viewed with MS Internet Explorer)

This message is from: sbiluk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi, I have been watching the rescue efforts and I am happy that the doomed Fjords were saved, but I am saddened to think of all the other lives that were lost. Isn't it a shame that we can't rescue all animals and let them live their lives in peace as well. Just something to think about. I know I have.
