Hey, we are finally all settled back in after our whirlwind 2+month RV
vacation out west. We've brought Kilar the wonderFjord and his trusty
companion Wee Willy home from the boarding facility and they are settling
back in well.

Have fallen woefully behind on all Twin Oaks orders so am asking anyone who
wishes to order custom Christmas cards this year to please have their order
to me before the end of September. You can email your photos etc. after
that date, but I need to get you on the schedule early to be sure your order
will be ready in time for you to send.
You do not need pay for the original painting/sketch that will go on your
Christmas card, just for your order so long as I have your permission to
re-use the design for following years.

Also, we have done some hard thinking about the diversity of our product
line and decided to discontinue all of the clothing items. There are now
plenty of Fjord related shirts and things available, so we will only do
custom orders from now on. (Hand painted t-s or sweats).
All of our remaining stock of Fjord shirts is on sale. Anything,
embroidered t's, vests or sweats or painted sweats will be $10 per item.
Size availability is limited, so order early. If you are interested, please
email me privately for photos.

Price and other information is available at http://www.twinoaksartwork.net
or you can view photos of recent artwork at

You might want to consider making the buttons work better -- the entire
area of each button should probably be "clickable" so your visitors
don't get frustrated trying to figure out how the buttons work. As you
have things designed at the moment, only the edges of each button are an
active link.

I recommend Cathy Dalton's Fjord artwork on weathered barn boards as special
gifts for Fjord friends, her notice was posted here recently.

She sent me copies of some of her artistry, and being an artist myself, I can
appreciate her natural style. More important, it is apparent that she uses
real live Fjords for models ...accurately portrayed in her folksy style on
genuine rustic barn boards.

She will also send you copies if you contact her at:

We have a friend in Idaho Falls that paints in oils. We have had her paint
our horses heads on flat river rocks. I haven't seen such good work as far as
confirmation goes. She is very accurate in her paintings. We sent her
pictures and she has duplicated them beautifully. Her name is Marilyn Heed.
Email me privately and I will get you her information. She is awesome. We
have donated a couple of the rocks at Libby for the drawings. I think they
were very well received. She also does paintings. We are going to have her
do both our horses.

If you have something specific in mind let me know.
After the house closes and we settle in, I'll be doing watercolor animal

paint in acrylics and oil if that's more to your taste. I can email a
couple of pictures of mine, but neither are of horses. But you'll get the

plates, pottery, mugs etc. but I'll have to check the area first.

Oh Ingrid, those are ALL beautiful. But you know, I'm kinda partial to the
"Foalitch" one! Really need to get an order in for some plaques and
t-shirts. You capture the spirit of the fjord so well.

I've been quiet about this, but I met Ingrid when I went to Ohio for a visit
last month (jeez, almost TWO months now, time is flying). And I had a photo
with me of my Misha/Juniper baby when she was one day old. After seeing
Ingrid's beautiful artwork, I knew she would do the picture of this sweet

I know who to go to to make it into an artistic masterpiece!

Hi there Ardeth...

I've had good luck going back to basics with any horse that is
resistant to
anything. Lots of ground work first (long-lining, lunging, and ground driving,
etc).
Get them listening to you on the ground...then when you go back to
working in
the saddle again, use the mildest bit possible.
I like using either a full-cheek or loose-ring snaffle. For those
horses with
thick palates, you may try using a thin bradoon snaffle bit. (...this is
commonly used in conjunction with a curb bit, in a double bridle, for dressage)
Hope some of this helps...don't forget to have the vet check her mouth!
There
may a physical reason for the resistance. They don't have too many ways of
telling us what pains them...then it ends up pain-ing us, 'eh? ;o)

As far as "Artwork" goes...here are a few examples: (cards, T's,
portraits,
welcome plaques, trinket boxes, totebags, magnets, etc...)

Hello everyone,

I recently commissioned Ingrid Ivic (Full Moon Fjords) to do some artwork for
my soon to be published manuscript. (Actually, I believe I begged really
hard.) She was very kind and agreed to do the work, even though she was
under a very serious deadline. She came through with flying colors and her
work is spectacular.

Anyway, she just mailed me the completed group and must say she has done an
absolutely stupendeous job! Her work is beautiful! Everyone has ohhhed and
ahhhed over it here at Bailey's and now it is off to the publisher with deep
regret. We decided to post a partial scan of one piece of Ingrid's work on
our website and would invite all of you to take a look at it! Our website
address is:
http://hometown.aol.com/heithingi/BaileysNorwegianFjords.html

Please remember, this is not the entire piece, would not fit in our scanner!
If you all needed any sort of artwork done of your Fjords, farm, whatever, we
would highly recommend Ingrid. Her email address is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
