I looked into this immediately as I feed my horses Purina and my husband is a Purina dealer at his farm service store. We were on the phone to Purina. Here is what we found out:

It is a voluntary recall and it is in one truck from a vendor that was delivered to Pennsylvania in a grain product. This vendor contacted Purina to let them know that it could have aflatoxins in it. Purina tests products first of all and then many tests have been done and nothing was found. It is a very isolated case and is only in the that state in one load. This product was not put in a lot of feeds and nothing has been found. I just wanted people to know so that people do not have to worry.

Subject: FW: Heads up! Purina horse feed - "unannounced recall"

I received the message below from our farrier.

Gail
As an FYI, I've heard from several sources that Purina has recalled many of
their feeds due to the potential aflatoxins as a "precautionary measure".
It is not an announced recall, but if you call the Purina number you get the info.
