Here is a link to the Driving Radio Show podcast. Holly Finnoe worked to set this up - as if she doesn't have enough to do getting parade ready - and she and Ben Finnoe and I were interviewed. The fjord interview begins around 15:43 but prior to that is great information about driving programs and after is an interview with a vet about blankets and problems they could cause. Yikes! Our unit is #79 out of 91 units. The parade is televised by ABC, NBC, KTLA (an LA station), HGTV, Univision (Spanish), and RFD TV. HGTV, RFD-TV (if you have this, you know it, but many people do not) and KTLA will air the parade in its entirety so you can be sure to see us on those. ABC and NBC cut away to commercials, so coverage isn't a sure thing on those stations. Equestfest, on December 29, will be aired by RFD TV on December 29 at 3 pm. I don't know which time zone this is so check your program schedule at RFDTV.com. This is a show featuring performances by each equestrian unit. We have a great one planned - but only one day of rehearsal (yikes). And before you ask, we have contracted with a company in LA to place all of our televised coverage from every outlet and also from RFDTV of Equestfest on a DVD. We hope to upload this to You Tube for maximum coverage. And we also have a photographer's badge for our own photographer to collect images - still and video. And of course, our participants will be taking photos and several will have Go Pro cameras (video cameras that are strapped to head or helmet or chest or carriage etc) to collect footage as well. But watch us live if you can! We'll have folks posting events as they occur on Facebook, probably on the chat list, and any other way we can.
