Just received the new issue of "Equus" magazine and noticed a fjord in a
fly spray ad. Is a very sweet picture, take a look if you can.

I'd gotten a telephone call several weeks ago from a representative of the
Equus America event that will be held in Kansas City, Missouri in April of
2003. She'd gotten my name from another fjord owner and asked if I'd be
interested in bringing a fjord to this event. Amber will be due less than a
month so I'll not take her but I did tell her she could send me the
information and I'd forward it to any fjord owners that might be interested.
I got the information in the mail yesterday, I've never been to one of these
before so had no idea what it was all about. Seems it would be the serious
breeder that would benefit from this, showing his stallion, mares, youngsters
he/she produces. I just have 2fjords for my own personal pleasure. And the
cost of the stall is 400., this she didn't mention on the phone or I'd have
said no right away. The info mentions it is "John Lyons presents Equus
America" and the invitation was to be a part of the America Breed Boulevard.
It will be at the American Royal Center in Kansas City, Missouri on April
24-27, and at the Reliant Arena in Houston, Tx on Feb 6-9, 2003. If anyone is
interested in getting more info they can write me or call Anita Mays at
937-859-4363. I know nothing about this event, know nothing about the
facilities, just thought I'd pass it on, maybe someone has done it before and
could share more information. Debby

Ha! EVERYONE wants Equus #11. That is the one with the article on melanoma,
if I remember right. It is also the ONLY one I am missing. Tried to get a
back issue almost 20 years ago without success, after missing it due to a
subscription lapse. Merek

Did anyone notice in the June issue of Equus , page 101, the mention of
Ingvild Nygaard's fjord horse website?

"Fjord horse enthusiasts will love http://home.sol.no/~snygaard/fjord.html
an attractive, informative tribute to this unique Norwegian breed.

Congratulations Ingvild. Hope you are still on the list!
