When our fjords compete in open shows and they do well, we all win. An athletic horse is not only a pleasure to watch, it is a pleasure to ride or drive such a horse. A forward athletic fjord horse on the trail ride is so much more fun than one that you constantly need to coax forward. Success like this is the result of someone choosing the right horses and lots of work and skill in getting them to the show. Information learned at our NFHR evaluation programs, as well as evaluations programs in other countries is the foundation for making good decisions concerning the horses you choose to work with.
