A NFHR member can submit
their stallions and mares to the registrar if they meet the following
requirements: The horse must have offspring that have been evaluated in the
NFHR evaluation system. These offspring must be evaluated in
Conformation/Movement and in Performance and have received a Medallion of
Quality. For a Mare or Dam to qualify, a minimum of two (2) offspring must
have received Medallions. For a Stallion or Sire to qualify, a minimum of
five (5) offspring must have received Medallions. The complete requirements
are listed on page 14 of the NFHR Evaluation Handbook.

Curt,

I have created a new form to claim this Award. Here is a link to it:

http://www.nfhr.com/PDF/Hall%20of%20Fame%20Award%20App.pdf

If any of you think you have horses that would qualify please
download the form & send it in. I will check the Records & get you
the award if the horse qualifies for it.

There is no charge for this award by the way.

Mike

I happened to be looking through the Record Books a couple of weeks ago
and noticed that at least two stallions have qualified for the *Hall of
Fame Award*; Beaver Dam Farm's stallion, *Gjest* and Anne Appleby's
stallion *Gromar*. Also, Sophie Fiedler's mare, *Karine, *who sadly, was
recently lost to colic. Congratulations to all. I believe the owners
have contacted Mike May about the qualifications.

Peg,

We are proud to say that our mare Belle qualified at the last Libby
Evaluation, however, some how I thought I had to have 3 off spring. silly
me. Her foals, Blaamann earned his medallion at the Days Creek Evaluation
and Lakka earned hers at the Libby Evaluation. She has eight off spring, all
of them have done the confirmation tests but only these two have tested in
performance.

Belle herself has earned medallions too!

Hi Curt,

Erlend may be the only stallion who has received his HOF award, I'm not
sure. But I think some mares have qualified for theirs.

Thanks,

Hi, Karen McCarthy's recent post about Sven daughters at the Moses Lake
Evaluation reminds me that I have noticed that many of the NFHR members
are

not aware of the Hall of Fame evaluation award. A NFHR member can submit
their stallions and mares to the registrar if they meet the following
requirements: The horse must have offspring that have been evaluated in
the

NFHR evaluation system. These offspring must be evaluated in
Conformation/Movement and in Performance and have received a Medallion of
Quality. For a Mare or Dam to qualify, a minimum of two (2) offspring must
have received Medallions. For a Stallion or Sire to qualify, a minimum of
five (5) offspring must have received Medallions. The complete
requirements

are listed on page 14 of the NFHR Evaluation Handbook.

This award is noted on the Fjord's registration and in the database. I
might be wrong, but I think MVF Erlend is the only horse with the HOF
annotation. Especially with all the evaluations held this summer, there
must be more Fjords that have achieved this award. I think that this is a
very important award and I hope more Fjords receive it!
Take care!
