Hi Gayle thanks for the info. This may be what Steve White has told me and
my Vet made reference to. Because of the location and amount of sarcoids
Vet thought these shots were best first. Never again. Does this salve
smell like pine? I was given a new "miracle" salve that is being made in
Oregon or Calif. from pine, tar etc.

Hope my favorite stallion is doing well. Jean

Hi Jean,

This 'stuff' doesn't really have an odor. It is dark brown and looks rather
like soupy molasses. I asked my vet what was in it. He said that he didn't
know, that since it was herbal they weren't required to list ingredients? I
told him it was probably sludge from some toxic waste dump!

I asked if rubber gloves were required when applying, he handed me a fistful.

I had to shave the area before applying. The vet warned me that it might
cause some tissue swelling. It did, but that soon subsided. It must have
caused some sort of sensation because soon after putting it on the first
time, he began swatting at it. Minor reaction compared to what your poor
Charlie has gone through.

After the tumor fell off, a bump still remained underneath the skin. When I
asked the vet about that, he told me to discontinue application. That we'd
just let it be for now and see if we had gotten it. Time will tell, I guess.

Dusty says to tell you 'Hi', that he's FEELIN' GOOD, and thanx for asking.
