14 to 14.3 hands, 8 to 16 years old with easy to sit gaits, a solid "whoa" and
stands well for mounting/dismounting from a block, neck reining nice but not a
necessity, trail experience a must.  Needs to have super ground and stall
manners, no bite/kick/rear or general nastiness, hopefully somewhat easy on
fences.  Must enjoy being fussed over, good for grooming, bathing, clipping,
mane cutting, picking up hooves etc.  Can be ridden out alone or with others
and doesn't mind either way, settles in nicely when hauled places, trailers
well, good for vet and farrier.  Doesn't need to be a super performance horse,
better to be a solid equine citizen.  I need a steady eddy type, a confidence
builder and a partner I can trust.  What can I offer?  A loving home with an
experienced horse owner who keeps her horses at home on dry lot, feeds good
quality grass hay, has a great relationship with her vet and farrier and has
recently retired her older fjord
gelding from riding.  I also have a 10 year old son who is horse crazy and
spends a lot of time at the barn with me and the horses, they are part of our
family.  My downfall are my knees, one is replaced and the other is on its way
but I'm not ready to give up riding, I just don't move as quickly and don't
want to ride the hills anymore or go fast.  I have owned & ridden for over 25
years but due to the physical issues would list myself as a cautious advanced
beginner at this stage of life.

Would prefer to find something west of the
rockies to keep shipping costs down but will consider all depending on the
horse, I'm located in northern California.  Will vet check and possibly x-ray
if necessary.  Can provide references.  Will also consider mares but my
preference is for a gelding.  Price will depend on the individual horse.
