I have to Registered Fjord Geldings that I might have to look at selling soon. I'm interested in people's opinions on the values of these two golden boys. After all, I'm biased. I'd be selling them with some of their tack, but I'm interested in the fair market value for the horses only. I know the fair market value of the tack. The Fjords are located in Central MA, since location matters. One is SF Dyre, 18 years old. 14.2, build is on the light side of heavy. Dead sound, healthy and barefoot. Brown Dun. Rides english. Has done pony club, but not in many years. Dyre is a good boy, but he is a pony. He's a strong fjord, both in body and mind. He's taught three people that we know of to ride, rather than being a passenger. There's no buck or rear in him, just a mind of his own. He would thrive in a lesson program, he likes a regular work schedule, and he doesn't mind actually working. I don't think he'd have the patience for a therapy program. He does trail ride, but likes ring work better. The other is SF Atom, we call him Tom. He's 20 years old, 14.1 and a drafty fjord. Dead sound, healthy, and barefoot. Also a Brown Dun. He rides and drives. He's patient with anyone. The people who know him call him a Buddha pony. He'd be a great family horse, provided there was at least one person in the family with some experience. He is good on the trail, but a little cautious on the road under saddle. In harness he is pretty much fearless. He could do therapy work, but he'd be happier with a small group of his people, a family, a couple, that kind of thing. He has done CDEs but I don't know how long ago. I don't think he's ever jumped formerly. So folks, Have at it. How much would you pay for them? I appreciate any opinions. Thanks all.
