RE: The Sweetest Horse Nose Photo Contest - Win A Year's Supply of Sweet PDZ
This message is from: "Teressa" The fine print for this contest is laid out clearly. Nothing about ownership of photos - in fact, people can enter a sweet horse nose description without even sending a photo. But good advice as far as checking. tk -Original Message- From: owner-fjordho...@angus.mystery.com [mailto:owner-fjordho...@angus.mystery.com] On Behalf Of Amy Evers Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2012 3:04 PM To: fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com Subject: Re: The Sweetest Horse Nose Photo Contest - Win A Year's Supply of Sweet PDZ This message is from: Amy Evers This message is from: Kathleen Prince sent some photos to enter - thanks! - athleen Prince athl...@pookiebros.com PLEASE! Read all the fine print on these "contests" before sending in your photos Many of these outfits have it written so that if you send it in, it then belongs to them - as in you sign over ALL rights to the photo for ever - and they can use it in any manner in which they please, and you cannot object. This message is from: "Margaret Strachan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Brigid, Sorry I didn't send any photos in, but you may use any photos you want from our website at Village Farm, www.pe.net/~barry. By the way, what is the web page link? I also need photos from SFest for the NL, if anyone has them. We didn't have time to take a whole lot. Maybe Marilyn would have some good ones. One other thing I wanted to check on is who is sending the Show results and story to the NFHR Herald. This is good follow up publicity for FW. This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi All- I am working on the new web site for Fjordings West, and need photos! What I'd like are pics of Fjords in use (driving, riding etc.), at play (clicker training exercises, playing w/balls etc.), or "au natural" (with the herd, grazing, running around in pasture etc.). Send your photos (paper or digital) to: Brigid Wasson, PO Box 25007, San Mateo, CA 94402. Please note, photos become the property of Fjordings West and will not be returned! By submitting your photos, you give permission for them to be published on the FW web site at any time. The grand prize winning photo will be placed on the home page, with farm/owner credits and web site link. The winner will receive a handmade white maple Fjord head frame (as seem at the promo booth in Skandifest). This frame is beautiful! It holds 4 pictures of your "babies" and normally retails for $40. Runner-up photos will be placed on other pages, with credits. Send in those photos, and stay tuned! Contest ends October 31, 2001. Results will be announced on the Fjordhorse list. This message is from: "Knutsen Fjord Farm" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi all - Thanks, Gayle, for the great write-up on Albany. I'm sure it will be even bigger and better next year! I'll have ask Erlend how he feel about glittery "toenail" polish - it certainly is an eye-catcher Meanwhile Spring is certainly in the air around here - His Majesty is snort and prancing whenever he catches sight or scent of any horse at all. Probably the goat, who's in with him, is next! I'm delighted to announce that "Pepper flying" won the baby photo contest on "HorseQuest.com"! We chose a hoof repair kit as our prize. We need to get busy and add our Albany pics to our website. A very nice guy who sides for the "Union Army" in the re-enactments of the Civil War battles is coming to look at Rocky Saturday. He says they shoot Cream of Wheat from their muskets and call themselves "cereal killers..." Other buyers at Albany were interested in Sonny [coming 1], and Pepper [coming 2], but no one else can come until after Norway, I believe. Bye for now - Peg Knutsen http://www.eburg.com/~kffjord/

This message is from: "Knutsen Fjord Farm" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi all - Regarding feeding: since our move to Ellensburg, we have been feeding orchard hay [< 15% alfalfa] and Dymanite complete feed supplement + vitamin/mineral salt. We pour some apple cider vinegar on the supplement and the Fjords lick their chops. It has no molasses, and is not considered a sweet feed. This seems to work well for our guys and gals. Of course, we have to put Clark, the goat formerly known as Prince, out in the barn aisle while we feed Sonny, his stallmate, or Clark would fling himself chest first down on the grain dish and hog it all. No doubt in a fit of pique, Clark uses his time in the aisle to loop extension cords, twine, lead ropes, etc, round and round his neck like so many necklaces. In the process he unplugs the electric garage-type door, the foal monitor, any water buckets that were plugged in, and dumps the trash can. We then have another Serious Discussion, which often ends with a mad chase up and over the mountain of hay bales and shavings bales. He really, really wants to visit the tack room, but so far has only made it in the door once and was quickly apprehended. The grain cans are covered, but I don't for a minute think he couldn't manage to open them. Sonny has the same level of curiosity, but is neither as bold nor as quick as Clark, thank heaven. Pepper asked me to have you all look at her adorable picture on the Horse Quest site. She can be viewed {amidst other almost as charming youngsters] on http://www.horsequest.com/photocon.html. Check her out! His Majesty can be found on the same site, of course. My Berlitz Norwegian lessons are coming along. Now, not only can I ask for a ticket to Bergen, I can yell for the police and count to twenty Hopefully, I will expand my repertoire before we leave. Cheers, Peg Knutsen - Knutsen Fjord Farm http://www.eburg.com/~kffjord/
