It's killin' me to drive the kids!! It's sad when It cost 45 + to fill a
minivan!

In the UK the petrol and diesel prices have just topped £3.92 per US gallon
($7.20 US). The fjords are looking more and more like an attractive option
to get the kids to school! Much cheaper to run!

Hi, I thought that you all would enjoy this. Sorry, the originator
didn't
include special import models like the Fjord.
  Curt Pierce

Good one Curt.. how about this for the Fjord...

 1. The Fjord Horse. This is the Hummer of all transportational equine
choices. All-terrain heavy-duty legs with extra horse-power per pony to
get
you there and back. Runs economically on ordinary hay and starts willingly
on cold mornings. Tough hooves with extended mileage. Pin Striping front
to
back with zebra accents, cab fringe, and fuzzy warm seatcover. User
 friendly.

I forwarded Curt's email to my family and here is the reply I received from
my older brother who lives in Virginia Beach, VA. He put some thought into
this one! :-) Obviously he lives in the city and not on a farm like I do.

Of course you'd have a few hurdles to get over:

1. Round trip commuting time means you get up before sunrise and get
home after sunset meaning a higher electric bill.

2. Of course you'd have to wash clothes more often due to lack of air
conditioning
on your vehicle. Increased water and soap cost.

3. Add the cost of the hay and oats.

4. EPA would have a cow over the additional pollution from solid waste and
gases.

5. PETA would be picketing over the cruelty of an animal in servitude.

 and on and on..

Still think it's a good idea?
