Hi All,

You are all lucky. I live in England and all my boys and girls have
been coping with the excessive amount of rain that we have been
having. If we do get any snow before the winter is over in will be a
light dusting. Would love to see mine knee deep like Hanne at Starfire
Farm.

Christine in Flecknoe, England, foggy and damp/wet again, there is
never snow insight

Hi, I came up for a "Summer job" with the Alaska Fish and Game Department
in 1967 and the job turned into a permanent job as a Wildlife Biologist. I
do love this state, the beauty, the people (or lack of crowds, generally)
and of course the feeling that I meant something here, that my vote is
important, and the freedom to live as I choose.

Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska, where we think people who live in "Los
Anchorage" are wimps!

I love to look at the pictures, but well, not thrilled to live in
it..just too cold for me!!

We did get a small (very small) dusting of snow on Wed., enough to make some
snowballs :-)

Why Alaska? Job,born there, love the frigid weather? It is so weird to think
of myself in your state. I would be such a big cry baby. Of course I am sure
you figured that out. We have gotten snow up here but it does not last. I am
the neighbor making snow angels in 1" of snow, calling all my family regardless
of time, saying, "Oh my gosh! It's snowing."
I will try not to complain about our weather as much. Our summers are brutal
though. I whine about that too.

OK, Send some of that up to Fairbanks! You folks don't appreciate it, and
we need it desperately! Even though Valdez, on the coast, got 36" in the
last two days, Fairbanks has only gotten 6" so far this YEAR!

Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska, clear and cold AGAIN, -12, no snow in sight!

Gee? My Fjords are as hairy as yours but mine are in So Calif. My gelding
Duffers has a cough, fever and snotty nose. He is on bedrest for 2 weeks and
meds. Temp 2x aday, if fever gets too high alcohol splash and Diparone. I think
he
will be fine, he is playing with the door so that is a good sign. I caught it
immediately too. Heard cough, take temp, call vet, see vets NEW truck, pay
vet $269. Only money.
I guess Duffers will not be giving pony rides Christmas day. H? Maybe
some planning involved on his part. Looks like Regn will have to do the duty.
She
is really smart if she gets sick I know they are in cahoots.
CO looks beautiful, glad to see it, not be in it. My in laws could not land
in Denver. Tried today, no word yet.
Have a lovely holiday all.

Gavilan Hills, CA where I will have to stumble out at 2 AM
to check Duffers and I know it is going to
be clear skies and in the low 40's. I feel
  sorry for myself (heehee).
