My favorite book this time is Ga-Wa-Ni Ponyboy. I don't agree with all he
wrote but one sentence is this I life: If you have a question about your
horse ask your horse. I spent a lot of time just watching A'simi.
When I read about your favorite I'd to laugh about the red hats. When I'm
just beginning with Western riding I wanted to have a hat. We drove to a
shop where you can choose between 2000 hats - and the only one which is
fitted for my head is a red one. Due to this all my riding colleagues
called me fly agaric. But I don't wear red jeans and pink blouses *lol*

Hi Anke-

That's for sure! Spending time with your horse/s is the best way to learn
about them. I LOVE to read and have a whole library of horse books. I learn
something from each one, and mix it with the little something I learned
from all the other books. But no one book, method, or trainer is 100%
right,
or 100% right for you your horse. It's always entertaining to go to the
library and read the really old books on horses. Sometimes you learn
something, more often you marvel at how these horses learned anything under
such brutal and bizarre methods. And of course one gets a good laugh from
the
un-stylish outfits of the authors (my favorite is a Western riding book
featuring the author and her husband in red jeans, pink blouses, and red
hats
from the 1970's!).

One of the Fjord owner here in Germany told me, A'simi couldn't be a real
Fjord. She thought he is more lively than all other Fjords she knows.

Nothing wrong with that! Many folks complain of lazy Fjords. Energy is a
good
thing : )

Very nice Lori! Do you have all of these books?

Thanks Mike! Yes I really do have all the books on that page, even the
ones without reviews (yet!)

When I counted, I found I own nearly 50 horse books, and each review
takes me about an hour, plus all the scanning and formatting, so once I
got this far I decided to put it up, even though it's not done. I will
finish the reviews over the couple of weeks, as well as putting up a few
more books I haven't got to yet.

I'm a book-a-holic (and a horse-a-holic, but you knew that)

Yes I did. ;-)
