I know she will be driving him even after he cannot be ridden anymore so it is good for older horses too! I hope to have my Fjord mare trained to drive and maybe ride after she foals. She is a PMU rescue but looks all Fjord to me. I checked for a microchip but she doesn't have one. It so happens that my scanner is a destron so it should have worked if she did. I miss the riding days but I have osteoporosis and would be taking a big chance by riding. Would not heal. I am impressed with those who take the chance. Driving is wonderful, we are teaching our 13 year old neighbor to drive and if we get our courage up, we will all come to Libby with the horses and see what happens. I started driving and love it. I do ride occasionally but driving is my passion. There are many ways to enjoy a horse if you look for it. I suspect even when I can't ride at all I will be driving.
