I would doubt seriously even half of the NFHR members would buy the book, simply because many may only be interested in pleasure or are affiliate members. I am sure not every member is interested in evaluations. Yes it does. Of that 712 157 are Affiliate members. It seems feasible to attempt to come up with a percentage of buyers. It makes sense the majority of the farms would be interested plus a small percentage of non-working/breeding farm members. Also, it might be more prudent to do a "first edition" printing of a smaller volume and if the demand for more is there, then go ahead and print the "second edition". The problem here is that the prices for printing only 500 were only between $500 - $1,000 less than printing the whole 1,000 of them. I guess once they are setup it isn't a big expense to keep on running the press. I am not fond of the website idea for many reasons, one is the point Steve mentioned and this is getting such a work on a website is not cheap. Nor will everyone have the right browser, nor will everyone's printer handle the demand, nor do all members have access to the internet. Also, it is important the NFHR makes a profit from this book to help with future projects. Lynda Daniel Bailey and Lynda C. Welch-Bailey Bailey's Norwegian Fjord Horse Farm White Cloud, MI
