Ask a carpenter if he burns any pressure treated wood in his fire place. Then, ask him why not. Then everyone will have reason to be scared.

Think I have decided on 6x6 posts, treated, with cedar boards. Any trouble with horses chewing those posts??? Jean Hi there, As an ex carpenter I must tell you that P. T. wood (pressure treated) is very toxic. However, horses seem to stick to the Horizontal cross boards rather than the posts themselves. So, I wouldn't worry about the posts being chewed. Just thought you should be aware. Jack
