What bad luck. So sorry to hear.
We use Electrobraid. Its electric rope that does a good job even when
its off. The horse can't push through at all. However we do keep it on
just to keep them away from the fence (and they do stay away!). Its easy
to install, relatively inexpensive, and has attractive, clean lines, and
as a bonus is relatively maintenance free. The hardest part of the
installation is setting your corner posts. They must be braced, so 3
posts per corner. My husband and I installed about 15 acres by
ourselves. There may be some photos on my site that shows it.
