Will you notify the group when you find out? Hannah and I would like a copy.

I have emailed Bob Van Bon about the book, and will post the results. Then
interested parties can contact me privately.

Although written in Dutch, it contains a wealth

translating it???) I will look into the cost of buying a quantity of

That sounds wonderful! I'd definitely be interested. The thought has been
playing in my head to buy a Dutch/English dictionary. I won't mind spending
hours pouring over the book to get some good, informative info on the
Fjordhorse. However, my translations could end up being very interesting!

The only question remaining is, where do the non-computer literate members of
the NHFR go to obtain this valuable information? That's where I think there
needs to be some help for the membership.

look into would be publishing some of these photos of the top stallions in
Europe in the NFHR studbook, which will soon be in the works thanks to
our new software. The Herald is also a good resource where the winning
stallions in America are often pictured, and occasionally there are photos
of Norways stallions. (Such as the photos of some of the stallions at the
1996 Stallion show in Norway.) But of course a picture doesn't tell the
whole story, and wouldn't it be great if we could get video footage of some
of the best of the best from Norway and Holland? This would go along
nicely with Brian Jacobsen's suggestion about filming our stallions that
are evaluated.

Have a good night, everyone! Julie

ALSO, would owners please identify the horse/horses in the fotos on web
pages and other areas so we know who is whom? Looking at so many fjörds
there is a lot to be learned about types and lineage by recognizing names.
Thanks Jean G.
