Fjord photo in Capital Press
This message is from: "The Mercers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> There is a photo of two Fjords with 11 yr. old Cheyenne Anderson on page 12 of the Capital Press today. It says she and her father, Bob Anderson, had just finished a ride at the Les Hilde Trailhead on Josephine Mountain near Hamilton, WA. The Fjords names are Dente and Orion. More good press for Fjords! Here is a link to the Capital Press. This weeks paper isn't available online yet. I think they wait until next Saturday to put this weeks online since it is a weekly newspaper. http://www.capitalpress.info/ Taffy Mercer In very rainy Kennewick, WA

This message is from: "sandra church" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi everyone Loki and I had a good ride tonight so I was inspired to catch up on the list. Usually I ride with my daughter but Loki is such a knothead because he wants to be glued to her horse. Tonight we rode solo and what a diffence. I welcome any suggestions on how to communicate with the beast, I mean Loki, that he can survive without riding in "pairs". (My daughter and son are in Montana this week on a 4-H Interstate Exchange program.) For those of you who get The Horse magazine, look on p. 84 of the July issue. There's a fjord!!! But he's not exactly exhibiting the quiet side of fjords...he's rearing and resisting his handler. Could this fjord's handler be on this list? Maybe I should read the article on "Herd Bound Horses" for help with Loki. The thing is-Loki is great by himself. He just gets stubborn and cranky with another horse in the ring unless he's right there with his friend. In the same issue is my oldest daughter's picture on p. 112. Steph is the news editor for The Horse. She was at Equitana and ran into Jan Bonner briefly. We've been to Jan's beautiful farm and Steph took pictures of Jan's gorgeous fjords so maybe some of those photos will be published in the future. Hope everybody is enjoying their fjords. This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Lynn Binkowski) A friend of mine is a website developer and she recently designed a site for www.equinephotographers.net. If you go to the gallery page, on page 4 there is an awesome photo of 2 fjords. Anyone know who's they are? There is a fjord photo on the first page too, I think it is the one of Joel Harmon's fjords plowing. Morgen (my friend) has also created a neat breeding journal with lots of photos of her TB mare that foaled in March. If any listers on foal watch are interested in an exasperating story with a happy ending, the link is: www.one-horse.net/babypics There are some goofy pictures of me on the foal watch site too, but please be kind...it was really cold and I just had to wear my nice warm earmuff hat! --Lynn BTW, if you want to see some really cool Flash animation, check out a new page that she is developing for her own site: http://www.one-horse.net/test/introLONG.html. I keep telling her to put a fjord photo in there!

I,m sure this must be a beautiful photo. However, it is scanned in so large that all that comes up on the screen is the mare's middle section and the top of the foal's neck and head. Maybe a thumbnail print, or just a reduced size scan, would help us see the whole picture. Thanks, Mary = Mary Thurman Raintree Farms [EMAIL PROTECTED] __ Do You Yahoo!? This message is from: "Mark and Lisa K. McGinley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> A good friend and photographer took an incredible shot of two of our Fjords awhile ago and I have finally convinced her to let me post it on our web site for anyone interested in a print of it. She has won some acclaim (and shows) with this print and the scan doesn't do it justice. They've had that particular shot included in their catalogs for several years now. Wish they'd update and do some action shots of Fjords. Heavens, everyone already KNOWS a fjord can eat!!! Pamela

This message is from: "Janne Myrdal" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Just a little encouraging tidbit. I was sitting looking through todays mail, and got to a sales catalogue from State Line Tack. And THERE, on the last page, in a nice photo advertising ladies riding apparell, was a Fjord. Hey, every tidbit counts when it comes to PR, so I for one was thrilled that "they" are including the Fjord in these photos. Anyone else notice it??? Janne Myrdal ND

This message is from: Lori Albrough <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Lindsay: I looked on the Equitana web site and couldn't find this photo. Do you have an exact URL (or description) of where it can be found? Or anyone else who has found it, could you post. Thanks, Lori Lindsay&Jim Sweeney wrote: > ... Check out the photo of > Saskia, Tobyn and Sue Giagiari on the Equitana USA web site.
