This message is from: karen ribley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi List,
I've so enjoyed reading the postings over the past year and have learned so much from you!! Thanks!! I am in a difficult position and would appreciate your passing on the following info. I have sadly decided to sell my 3yr. old Fjord gelding, Short Creek Quinn (CFHR). I bought him in July of 05' as a two year old, intending to bring him along slowly. However, a month after I got him to St. Louis, my husband was diagnosed with terminal kidney cancer. Quinn was put out to pasture to grow and frolic. My husband passed away last March, and as time has gone on it's become glaringly apparent I will not have the time to devote to working with a young horse. I have renewed respect for single parents, and find the obligations to my two teens, full time work , etc. take LOTS more time than I had to devote before. Quinn is 14 hands high, typical in-your-pocket Fjord personality. He is great with grooming, feet, bathing, etc. I bought him for his unflappable personality, and he IS the calmest 3 year old I've met. He has been lightly ridden, stands still for mounting, waits for "walk" cue, does a nice extended trot, and has a great slow trot. Of course, all this needs to be refined, and I haven't worked with him in a while. I'm asking $3500 for him, exactly what I paid, and excellent loving home. As time goes on, I think he would be a great western pleasure horse, trails...suitable for a lady or youth. Thanks for looking, and please pass this in to anyone you know who may be looking. Yours, Karen (in COLD St. Louis, but NO snow!!) The FjordHorse List archives can be found at: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw
