I seem to remember something about all handguns except single-shot target-type .22 banned from private ownership, and severe restrictions on longguns. A similar thing happened in Australia after a mass shooting. The press over here made it sound like the Aussies happily turned in their guns because the leaders said to do it. The truth, as I heard direct on the shortwave from Radio Australia International, was that there was a lot of fuss and resistance to it. In the UK, aren't most sporting guns kept at a club, rather than at home? I guess in the countryside they would have them at home, for the rabid foxes and all. Even the more powerful airguns we have in this country are too powerful to be legal in the UK and Germany. They are for export only. Merek
