We have a horse transport here that is superb, "Grand Champion," based in
Central Montana. They have hauled Fjords for us from one end of the country
to the other and their service was exceptional. They come right to the door,
whereas so many now want you to bring the horse to another point that
accommodates them. They also do not "stockpile" horses at central holding
pens while they're out scouring for additional customer horses-- which can
place your horse at risk while it is held in an unsupervised stockyard for
extra days. These folks will call daily and keep both the seller and the
purchaser apprised of their travel progress. Horse knowledgeable folks who
give excellent care of their charges. We well recommend them.

I have used Hubbard and found them to be very professional, and their
equipment was horse friendly. They haul TB's between tracks around the
country, and are most economical if you can deliver your horse to the
closest track to which they do routine runs.

I find it interesting that no one knows one of our own is a transport
service. Baileys Norwegian Fjords has lots of experience transporting
horses. I have nothing but good experiences to report in my dealings with
Dan and Lynda. Very honest, up front, and do their level best to keep on
schedule, knowing that things do happen to effect this.

Just a curiosity,

Dear Janice,
I've been shopping for horse transporters lately myself. I haven't
actually used any of them yet but I do have a couple of phone numbers.

Anderson Horse Transportation (Ashland NE) I-800-255-2796
Hubbard Horse Transport (WA) 1-800-317-6768
Drexler Horse Transportation (Hampshire IL) 1-800-262-4464
Bateman Horse Transport (NY) 1-800-933-4323

The second and fourth specialize in east-west transport. The first and
third are, at least, in your neighborhood. Hope this helps.
