nice gelding for sale
This message is from: "Pat Holland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I am representing a very nice 4 year old gelding for sale in northwest Illinois. His name is "Strider", he is by "Edvard" an outcross Norwegian import and out of imported - "Sylvia" by "Halstor" sire of "Orinke", "Prisco" and "Raldiene" and out of "Jasmijn" dam of "Parabel" and "Tamarinde" . He comes from a line of proven performance and conformation horses - (blues in all categories) - he rides (and does canter.) He is very quiet and calm, dependable and has a good mind. He's lived at the Veterinarian's large animal clinic within their boarding facility and has daily handling and excellent care - he has a good disposition and very attractive, with no stable vices, sound and ready to go for someone who wants an all around horse. He's 14 hands and in good shape, brown dun with a beautiful head. He is middle of the road in type - not draft, nor refined - He got his disposition from his dam - who was one of the most gentle Fjords I've known. "Sylvia" won a big two/three year old halter class at Blue Earth, I trained her to ride and drive. To give you an idea of the disposition here - a couple of years ago I had a total hysterectomy - and all I heard from horse friends was - "oh it's nothing - my wife ( or I ) was riding in two weeks after the operation"... not to be outdone - I had "Sylvia" in my barn for sale at the time and I rode her 10 days after the operation - I knew she was that good of a "take care of you" type of a horse. Asking price is $5,500Contact privately for more information. Pat Holland The FjordHorse List archives can be found at: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw
Re: another nice gelding for sale
This message is from: "Pat Holland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I am sending home another gelding - on the 18th - which is for sale. His name is SFF Nils. He is 9 years old and by Anvil's Torbjorn - The wonderful old stallion Rich and Nancy Hotovy owned and unfortunately died this past spring. On the bottom side he is out of a Gjestarson daughter. He is 14 hands and a big boy - definitely draft in type. In spite of his age and having little work done prior to coming to me he is remarkable in what he has learned and has accepted. I have only ridden him, but ground driving is part of the work with them before getting on - so he has the basics for driving. He is very light in the mouth and above average sensitive to the leg - He now stands with the patience of a box of rocks, he clips, baths, loads and hauls. Good ground manners and nice to be around. This is the second Anvil's Torbjorn I've had in training and they broke out very much alike - his 1/2 brother SFF Axel was with me this past summer- very predictable and kind. I took Axel to Blue Earth and placed with him with only 45 days in training. The owner Susan Crawford still has Axel, as they are riding him at her farm in Streator, Illinois. She might make a deal for the two of them. They would make a nice pair and Axel was ground driven and put to a stone boat as well as extensively ridden. They are allot like and although I've never driven a pair would think they have the disposition and movement to do so. Both geldings are current in vaccinations, worming and both had their teeth done by a certified horse dentist while in my care. Neither have any bad habits in the stall, tied or turned out with others. Just good solid Fjord geldings. The kind of Fjord the breed is known for. Axel will take care of any rider and Nils has a bit more energy but very controllable. Contact Susan at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or myself for more information.
