Subject: [Flashcoders] Subscription problems

Sorry to jump on the bandwagon but since nothing is being done, I would like
to point out that my subscription has been altered from web-only to
individual emails. I have tried to unsubscribe on a few occasions and no
confirmation email has been sent despite figleaf saying it has.

I apologise for the annoyance to regular people on this board, but none of
us have a choice since nobody seems to be listening to our requests.

So this is a call for help... Please, admin, unsubscribe me - since I don't
seem to be able to through your website!

Thanks...

Well i was talking about skewing orizontally in order to have a mirrored
movieClip effect.. by the way, Snepo, your way you of a nested movieClip
is true but not achievable dynamically, another technique i am trying to
use is by using the mx.geom.Transform class and the mx.geom.Matrix class
but i am still trying to figure out it's properties...

On 2/28/07, Snepo - Arse [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

Skewing isn't available but is possible.

In order to skew a clip (skewClip) the clip needs to be nested inside
another movie clip (containerClip).

To skew - rotate both skewClip and containerClip in opposite
directions and modify either the _xscale or _yscale of
containerClip... the result s a skewed skewClip. I'm not certain of
the math to make this readily usable but this technique should offer a

start.

Adjusting the yScale will change the dimensions of a movieclip, for
example (Hope my ASCII drawings work!) ___

___
 Becomes
 _

 When you reduce the _yScale.

Skewing horizontally would be adjusting the x coordinates on the top

of the movieclip but leaving the ones on the bottom. Skewing a
square to the right would result in this:
 ___

___
 Becomes

/ /
 /___/

Which I don't believe you would be able to do with a MovieClip.
 You may
be able to achieve these results with drawing simple shapes or maybe

using some of the bitmap functionality, but that is way over my
head.

Sorry, no browser can view an FLV file on its own.
However, here's a link to download a free desktop player. You can then
drag-n-drop the file onto the player and view your FLV. Hope this helps.
