Re: [Flashcoders] For those who want to unsubscribe - change settings

2007-10-22 Thread tcoz
I would be happy to follow the directions, however, it has been a long time,
and I don't remember my password.

And...the password reminder does not seem to work. I have tried three times.

Read the first message from the new list !

If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to or
from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your subscription page
at:

You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to:

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]

with the word 'help' in the subject or body (don't include the quotes), and
you will get back a message with instructions.

You must know your password to change your options (including changing the
password, itself) or to unsubscribe.

Enjoy !

Re: [Flashcoders] digest

Password mailing reminder seems to be broken as well, I put in two requests so
that I could change to digest, and have received neither one.

Re: [Flashcoders] Urgent help !!! Please :)

2007-02-28 Thread tcoz
This is an ongoing area of debate, but, the fact that popup windows are
problematic isn't disputed.

If I go to a public website, click a link, and see a popup window warning, I
navigate away from the site.

I always advise my clients against this approach. It just introduces issues
that are easily avoidable.

Subject: [Flashcoders] Urgent help !!! Please :)

Hi all

Finishing a project and came to a hurdle.

1. User clicks on link in browser. Opens a new smaller browser window!
(Out of interest, what do people think about opening new browser
windows?, I cant decide whether this is a bad idea to begin with!)

2. Within new window, there is my flash application, which at some
stage requires another flash application! Which is bigger. So I try
the resize window method within body tag, which isnt 100 - i.e doesnt
work in IE7. (ok in firefox)

Whats the best thing to do here?

Does anyone know a 100% working method for resizing windows from within Flash?

Am I doing something totally stupid by even thinking about window resizing?

Any help would be cool!

Love you all

Johnny
