Unfortunately there is no way to set Antialias for animation dynamically (or is there?). Have tried messing with sharpness and thickness, but they have little effect. It is as if my laptop has forgotten how to render text smoothly in Flash. I'm even looking back at old swfs which were fine which are now defective. I think it's time for a fresh install.
