hi All , 

i have the same problem to manipulate the compiled SWF  and recompile it 
back to SWF and deply to production.
I had tried 2 options but no luck on both the options.

1) converting swf to fla to AS3 , i was able to edit the AS3 file , then I 
am not able to move forward to create the new FLA & new SWF file.
2) converting swf to flex project and importing to flex builder , then 
while publishing it says that i dod not main MXML file to get new SWF.

If u had any known options to achieve this , please let me know ,  i will 
be monitoring the thread!..

Hi All,

I am developing an flex application. As a part of this development i want
to save marathi words in my sql database. I am using *Blazeds *remote
services to communicate with Java.

whenever i pass any marathi word to Java through service layer,  i am
getting a string like this ?? in java.
In debug mode i have observed that, marathi word is getting passed
correctly till service and then in java i am getting ?

I have set the charset=utf8 in my Html page as well as while creating DB
and tables.

Please suggest..

Hi All,


I am using advanceddatagridrendererprovider to render a item to
column1 in the advanced data grid and i have to select a row in the
same advanced data grid. But by clicking on the column1 i am unable to
select the row...

I used depth=0 property of the rendererprovider now i am able to
select the row. But in the set data method i am updating the data.
that is not working if i used depth property.

Any solution ?
Please Help me out... i have to select entire row and i have to update
 the data too...

Please provide me suggestion...

be  related to styling of component ,
let us suppose as canvas support padding  properties  in 3 but it does not
support in 4. for that You have to go for skinning.
lot of things you will learn while moving from flex 3 to flex 4 , but adobe
recommends that if you  are building a new application then
flex 4 is best , but do not translate complete flex 3 app to flex 4 ,

  I'm facing this issue of Slow Application Response after assigning
dataprovider to a datagrid. when i dont assign the application works
fine.
  I mean the application responds slowly, with a delay of 5-7 seconds
after assigning dataprovider. simple flex events like button click on
Alert, focus in Textinput or popup a title window is taking time,

Any ideas as to how to approach this issue. any ideas are welcome.\

the labels will be empty, Whenever i select the same date , it is not empty.
How to do it, I want the condition? please provide the Condition?


If i select the 30/05/2007 the labels will be empty

If i select the same date like 29/05/2007 the labels will be same

So my Question is Whenever i click the popupButton, It will shows datagrid,
In datagrid having two columns(id(checkbox), Title (name))

 CheckBox3   Program3

 CheckBox4   Program4

last i have a check box

What i want is

I select one checkbox  ---(1) option

I select two checkboxes-(2) option

Whenever i click last check box, the 4 check boxes will be selected.

How to do it?

Hi All,

I have a large XML file of size 2 Mb

Is there any way to load the xml file progressively so that i can display
the first 10kb data
I am using HTTPService to load the xml file.

I don't have control on XML file. It is dynamic XML.
