RE: [flexcoders] RemoteObject call to POJO on JRUN
Here is the mapping I have for the AMFGatewayServlet in my flex servers /WEB-INF/web.xml file: AMFGatewayServlet /amfgateway/* As for using a sniffer, NO I haven’t tried using one. How might I go about it, what program should I use…? Also, I have since installed Tomcat and copied the server I had setup on JRun onto it and “magically” it is working! Now, since we know it is not my code or the flex-config.xml configuration that it must be JRun and/or a conflict with coldfusion. I’m not sure how to resolve this issue, and am pretty pissed and frustrated having found out that everything I needed to do to get my remote java classes to work was correct. I would like to still figure out what the issue is with JRun problem. Title: Mercury Email Signature Have you looked at isStructureValid? If you have a model that contains all of the values you want validated and call isStructureValid you’ll find out about everything at once and don’t need another property to test for you. [flexcoders] Re: Highlight gridline on chart
Martin - Thanks for the suggestion, but that won't work. My fault, for not being more specific. The column chart is actually a stacked column chart, and when I introduce the LineSeries, it tries to become part of the stack. I think I have to move to a cartesian chart setup - if it's possible at all. What I was hoping to do was introduce a line just as a highlight of the grid or even by actually drawing it in behind the stacked columns. - Tom At 12:58 PM 10/15/2005, you wrote: >I've done this by simply adding a LineSeries to the columnChart. Try setting the heights of the panels to "{parent.height}" -- where parent would be a reference to the ViewStack. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~--> Most low income households are not online. RE: [flexcoders] ASP Shopping Cart Example
Thanks Abdul. So the ... returned by the login.asp page, how is that then interpreted by MXML? I guess maybe I'm missing something as I was reading some docs about Zorn/FlexBuilder 2, and I was under the impression that ColdFusion, JSP, ASP, etc. are all treated under the same mechanism/protocol, but from what you've said, it seems that only ColdFusion and MXML are the native technologies, and that ASP, JSP etc. are treated as secondaries (unequals having to use HTTPService). I hope not as I love Macromedia products but have always frowned on some pricing schemes and perhaps just a little too tad of favoritism to a less open model (but on fewer occasions that people like MS at least; but still...). -r --- Abdul Qabiz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Robert, > > You can use HTTPService in Flex/MXML to communicate > with server-side > scripts(ASP.Net f.ex.) using standard HTTP GET/POST > way. > > Following example is a simple login form which send > userid and password > to a server-side script: > > ##HTTPServiceExample.mxml## > > xmlns:mx="http://www.macromedia.com/2003/mxml";> > > > >url="http://localhost/login.asp"; method="POST" > result="loginService_result(event)" > fault="Alert.show('some error > occurred');"> > > {userid.text} > {password.text} > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ##login.asp## > > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]"JAVASCRIPT" %> > <% > Response.ContentType = "text/xml"; > > > var userid = String(Request.Form("userid")); > var password = String(Request.Form("password")); > var flag = false; > > if(userid=="guest" && password=="guest") > { > flag = true; > } > > %> > > > <%String(flag)%> > > > > > Note: code not tested, there might be mistakes in > ASP code, but for > example I think this is sufficient. Re: [flexcoders] ASP Shopping Cart Example
Hi Robert, You should create a .NET web service to comunicate ith your Flex application. The approach should be like this: 1. Create custom objects in .NET to hold your data. 2. Use the ArrayList to create an array of objects that you send to your Flex application I can send you some code examples on Monday when I am back in the office. Best regards.
