[flexcoders] Adobe AIR run time Installer
Hello all, I am developing adobe AIR application. I would like to bundle AIR runtime installer with my application, which has to support Window,MAC,Linux. how can i achieve this?
Re: [flexcoders] Adobe AIR run time Installer
AIR 3.0 runtime for Linux is not supported. You could export a release version with Capitive Runtime that only found on FB 4.6. By using captive run time, the give the file will be with.exe extension. But we cannot use .exe in Mac. --- In flexcoders@yahoogroups.com, James Ong yanlilei64@... wrote: AIR 3.0 runtime for Linux is not supported. Re: [flexcoders] Re: Adobe AIR run time Installer
You have to export an AIR on Mac using Mac OS X. You will not be able to export a Mac installer from Windows environment. [flexcoders] Adding a button in VideoPlayer
Ok I don't know if I'm going absolutely crazy -- I'm trying to add a button to the VideoPlayer -- not the stopButton which is already written in the spark VideoPlayer, but a new button to do something I want and will listen for outside of the class. I create a VideoPlayer skin and add my button. I create a new class and extend VideoPlayer.as. I add a public myButton (say) and override static partAdded -- I trace out the partName / instance and myButton is always null, never added. Hmm. I duplicate the VideoPlayer classes into my own, add the same public myButton and this time my button is being traced out. Now I could do it this way but it's 10k difference in the swf - from 253 to 264. Ok 11. What's the deal? Garry Schafer grimmwerks gr...@grimmwerks.com portfolio: www.grimmwerks.com/

Can you show code, I assume you marked the button as skinPart. Re: [flexcoders] Adding a button in VideoPlayer
*cough* well I *did* -- but for some reason I had public var overlayButton:ButtonBase; [SkinPart(required=false)] rather than [SkinPart(required=false)] public var overlayButton:ButtonBase; I *knew* it was something stupid… Thanks! [flexcoders] Re: Line Chart like Task Manager
My wife figured this out for me! LOL! It's not the most elegant way to do it, but I just manipulate the first element of the array to always be '0'. Pretty simple actually. --- In flexcoders@yahoogroups.com, gtb104 gtb104@... wrote: I got everything working! Looks good, but I have one styling issue. If the chart is filled with null data, when data starts coming in everything is fine until the moment when the chart fills with data. See the Before http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7067/6775986144_a3c232b945_o.jpg image. The problem is with the gradient fill. Once the chart fills up, the gradient smushes up to the top. It appears that the LinearGradient only uses the area that is stroked for computing the height of the fill as far as the gradient goes. Any ideas? Thanks, Geoff --- In flexcoders@yahoogroups.com, Brendan Meutzner bmeutzner@ wrote: Geoff, You can create a large dataset with empty, or 0 values, for your Y Axis. Then when you populate data from your service, add/append those values to the end of your dataset, while removing an equal number of empty values from the beginning of the dataset. If you've created an ArrayCollection of these values, then via binding, it will update the chart automatically as you add/remove values to/from this collection. Have your line chart ignore 0 values and the line won't draw at the beginning, and only begin drawing on the right where you've started populating data. Continue this process as you receive data, and eventually you will have a full dataset, and as you continue to add/remove values, your full chart line will continue updating appearing to move from right to left. Does all this make sense? I've used a Mac for years now, so I'm pulling from memory what the task manager charts look like, but I think this is accurate. Let me know if you need any clarification on the method I'm suggesting above.
